TED comes to Broadway. And curious minds of all kinds are invited.
During the first week of November 2015, TED Talks Live electrified the Town Hall Theater in New York City. Hosted by author and comedian Baratunde Thurston, the event featured six nights of thought-provoking talks, short films and musical performances. The stellar speaker lineup included biological engineers, futurists, animators, and everything in between. For the first time ever, TED opened the event to the public.
TED hired OXBOW to create customized, media-rich presentations for six of the talks. Working directly with the speakers and collaborating with TED and plenty of other friends, we handcrafted compelling visual narratives to accompany the presentations. OXBOW designed, directed, illustrated, animated and curated unique content for each speaker's stories.
The event consisted of three themes, each of which lasted for two nights:
